TPO Membrane Roof
Flat Roof Roofing
TPO (Thermoplastic Polyolefin) membrane roofing is the most popular choice for flat and low-slope roofs. This single-ply rubber-like membrane provides excellent waterproofing with heat-welded seams that are stronger than the membrane itself.
What Does a TPO Membrane Roof Look Like?
TPO (Thermoplastic Polyolefin) single-ply RUBBER-LIKE membrane roof. This is NOT metal — it is a flexible, rubbery plastic sheet material. The surface is completely SMOOTH and FLAT like a taut rubber sheet or vinyl tarp, with a matte to slightly glossy finish. There are NO raised ribs, NO standing seams, NO ridges, NO corrugation, and NO metal panels. The only visible lines are flat, heat-welded lap seams where two membrane sheets overlap — these are flush/flat against the surface (not raised), about 2-3 inches wide, running horizontally. Between seams the surface is perfectly smooth and featureless. Think of a smooth rubber sheet stretched tightly over the roof deck. Common on flat and low-slope commercial and residential roofs.
Benefits of TPO Membrane Roofing
- Best energy efficiency — white TPO reflects up to 90% of UV rays
- Heat-welded seams create permanent waterproof bonds
- Lightweight single-ply installation
- Chemical and UV resistant
- Cost-effective for large flat roof areas
Best For
Flat and low-slope commercial buildings, modern residential flat roofs, and any structure where energy efficiency is a priority.
